News from the Annual Capitol Chapter Member Meeting: Thanks to Jim & Ian…  A special thank you to Jim Verbeke and Ian Greenia for their many years of service to the Capitol Chapter as President and Vice President. Jim and Ian turned their respective positions over to Andrew Larder and Craig Godfrey at the end of the Annual Meeting. Jim and Ian performed an excellent job as ambassadors for the chapter during very difficult times. They were able to keep the Capitol Chapter moving in a positive direction through a bad economy, high fuel prices, changes within the Michigan laws relating to dirt motorcycle use, and major location changes for the Rites of Spring event. Jim and Ian were also able to direct the Capitol Chapter to a 2011 season that ended ‘in the black’; a great accomplishment for the times. (Andrew Larder also helped greatly in these efforts.) Jim and Ian are thankful for the help they received from all of the Capitol Chapter Members over the years. They plan to continue their activity within the Capitol Chapter. They look forward to the future of the Capitol Chapter and The Cycle Conservation Club of Michigan. Jim and Ian are excited for the new things ahead for the chapter and can’t wait to see you at an CCC event in 2012! Jim and Ian’s service to the Capitol Chapter is greatly appreciated by all the members. Thank you! More Thanks… Thanks to all the Capitol Chapter members who helped to make the 2011 season a success. A special thanks to… -Roque for running the Kids ride. -Phil for running the Vintage ride. -Dennis for securing the prize donations. -Sarah for selling the t-shirts at R.O.S. -Everyone who marked trail, worked a check-in, worked a road crossing, swept trail, etc. in 2011.
